Though She Cannot See

She cannot see
How cruel others can be
Always smiling,
But the rest of the world beguiling
Her; she seems to know
But will not show
Any signs of weakness
Instead, letting her meekness
Spread across their lies;
She is wise
Enough never to hate,
But sometimes the weight
Of her burdens cause fears
To rise and tears
To fall,
So I gather them all,
And rub away her pains
As the sunlight wanes.

Though she cannot see
I will let her know
How beautiful she can be
Through every joy and woe.
